Artist we’re into-Amia Yokoyama

We’d like you to meet Amia, the final artist that will be exhibiting with Art Cart NYC™. A visual artist and designer, Amia has had her hand in everything from stop motion video to eco fashion design.

Her aesthetic is a combination of the anthropological and the futuristic, focusing on cyborg figures in multi-channel installations. Her contribution to the Art Cart builds on the conceptual framework of her three dimensional work.

She will be creating a site-specific installation on the side of our truck that will produce a reflective optical environment. Utilizing perspectival lines, the angles resulting from the material will conjure the illusion of multiple vantage points, encouraging the viewer to absorb the outside environment from altered positions.
