Artist We Love: Stephen Zerbe

Meet Stephen Zerbe, a visual artist and sculptor who will be representing El Camino ARTRV at Truck Yeah this October! Zerbe works in many media, and utilizes found objects or recycled materials for his sculptures, installations, and collages, forming an aesthetic that seeks to challenge ideas of reality or normalcy.

Zerbe is the first artist we have worked with to capitalize on the truck’s primary purpose as a vehicle for personal or corporate transportation. Reaction Services is Zerbe’s shipping company, a nondescript truck crowded with tons of moving boxes. As the visitor travels through various obstacles in the vehicle, he or she will experience how the space transforms into a more sacred space, a shrine at which the visitor will give an offering to the spirit surrounding the vehicle. We are very excited to see how Zerbe’s project materializes.
